Featured in this lot is this Mid-Century Modern George Nelson style slat bench. George Nelson (1908-1986) was an American industrial designer. While lead designer for the Herman Miller furniture company, Nelson and his design studio, George Nelson Associates, designed 20th-century modernist furniture. He is considered a founder of American modernist design. This bench is believed to be of the George Nelson line from Herman Miller but is shown without the identifying mark. The bench features a ten slat design and shows hardwood construction with six brass legs ending in rubber tip covers. The condition of this bench is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this bench is 108" x 18" x 14". The bench had a $6,000 price from the Montana showroom it came from.
