The lot features a 19th Century Middle Eastern percussion cap and ball camel rifle. The musket shows a 33 inch octagon heavy iron barrel with faired muzzle and religious etched / carved accents. The piece shows a typical pattern hardwood stock having the butt stock area curving drastically. The barrel is secured to the stock with four barrels bands that are constructed of silver and iron. The rifle shows a typical single side receiver plate with beautiful hand etching. The hammer and trigger are both free to move, but the action does not function. The overall gun shows a rich mellow and dark patina which would lend to its early age. These rifles would have been used in Middle Eastern countries such as Turkey and Afghanistan while on camel and horse back. Measures overall 46 inches. NO FFL Antique Firearm.
