Featured in this lot we have a collection of Milk crates and advertising boards originating from the early to mid 1900's. The collection consists of a wooden milk crate, two Borden advertising boards, and the front of an explosives crate. The milk crate displays solid wood construction with the ends marked "48 Tall Cans Morning Brand Unsweetened Evaporated MILK Morning Milk Co. Stockton - California Made in U.S.A.". The first of the advertising boards are marked "Keep From Freezing Borden's The Nation's Milk Store in a cool place' with the second marked "Borden's Reg U.S. Pat Off. Evaporated Milk 48 Cans - Tall Size- 14 1/2 OZ. Each Net The Borden Sales Co. Inc. Distributors New York, Chicago, San Francisco.". The front of the explosives crate is missing some sections with the remaining marked "/8 X 8 DUI XPLOSIVES REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. REPAUNO SPECIAL GELATIN 40% STRENGTH". The collection shows good condition overall with some wear and damage due to age and use. The largest measures 19" long by 13" wide and 8" tall with the smallest measuring9 1/2" long by 7" tall.
