Featured in this lot is this Miller Bro's 101 Ranch Wild West Show parade photograph and postmaster letter circa 1920's. This lot includes a wonderfully and professionally crafted photograph from 1920 and shows two of the shows actors riding in the shows outfits through the street during the pre show parade; on the back is written as follows: 101 Ranch Wild West Show - 1920 - 913-64 - SS#14. The postmaster letter is on 101 Ranch Real Wild West and Great Far East letterhead and requests the local postmaster to forward information pertaining to mailboxes of rural residences so that the Show could send invitation to attend to residences outside of city limits; promising admission tickets for two upon presentation of this letter. written by C.W. Finney, General Agent. The Miller Bros. 101 Ranch Wild West Show grew out of the famous 101 Ranch in Oklahoma, founded in the late 19th century, and became one of the most successful traveling Wild West shows in the early 1900s. Operated by the Miller brothers, the show featured cowboys, Native American performers, rodeo events, trick riding, and reenactments of frontier life, blending entertainment with a romanticized version of the American West. One of its most notable showings was at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, where the 101 Ranch Wild West Show gained national attention and helped cement its reputation as a major cultural attraction of the era. The condition of this photograph and letterhead is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this photograph and letterhead is 7" x 4 7/8" and 9 1/4" x 5 5/8".
