Featured in this lot is this Miller Bro's 101 Ranch Wild West Show pre-show parade photograph circa 1920. The photograph shows a line of riders raising their colors with two Native Americans on the flanks. The back of the photograph is marked as follows: 1920 - 101 Ranch Wild West Show - 913-64 - SS#14. The Miller Bros. 101 Ranch Wild West Show was a hugely popular traveling entertainment in the early 20th century, bringing a dramatic vision of the American West to towns and cities across the Midwest. During its extensive Midwest tours, the show played to large crowds in states like Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Illinois, where rail lines made it possible to transport hundreds of performers, horses, and buffalo from stop to stop. These tours helped connect rural and urban audiences to frontier imagery through rodeo contests, trick riding, sharp shooting, and performances by Native American cowboys, making the Midwest a core region in the show’s rise to national fame. The condition of this 101 Ranch parade photograph is well preserved with some wear in the upper right hand corner but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this photograph is 4 7/8" x 7".
