Included in this lot is a large framed painted Ming Dynasty Empress Dowager Xiaochun mirror. Empress Dowager Xiaochun (October 9, 1593 – August 28, 1614), surnamed Liu, was a Ming Dynasty concubine of the Taichang Emperor and biological mother of the Chongzhen Emperor. This piece shows a large, beautifully painted Ming Dynasty Empress Dowager Xiaochun placed in the center of a framed mirror. This piece is in great condition, showing no signs of damage. The frame measures 33" by 51 1/2".
