Featured in this lot is this curio display, mission style cabinet, circa mid 1900’s. The cabinet appears to have oak construction and some veneer decoration. The cabinet shows a wonderfully and professionally crafted mission style curio cabinet design with four shelves set into the belly of the cabinet. The cabinet shows a sleek design with a beautifully crafted square and mission style framework. The lock latch shows a knob and latch design that works well with a glass front. Mission furniture is a style of furniture that originated in the late 19th century. It traces its origins to a chair made by A.J. Forbes around 1894 for San Francisco's Swedenborgian Church. The condition of this curio cabinet is good, with slight wear consistent with the age of the cabinet. The measurements of this curio display cabinet are 31 ½” x 40” x 59”.
