Included in this lot is a large mixed parcel collection of aquamarine gemstones weighing 18.71 carats. Aquamarine’s name comes from the Latin for seawater and it was said to calm waves and keep sailors safe at sea. March’s birthstone was also thought to enhance the happiness of marriages. The best gems combine high clarity with limpid transparency and blue to slightly greenish blue hues. Included is a single marquise cut gemstone measuring 7.0mm x 3mm x 2.10mm and weighing approximately 0.21 ct. Also included in this lot is a set of cushion cut gemstones measuring 8mm x 6mm x 4.36mm and weighing approximately 2.5ct. Additionally we have four princess cut gemstones in sizes 7mm x 7mm x 4.5mm, (two) 5mm x 5mm x 4.05mm and one 4mm x 4mm x 2.60mm weighing approximately 3.5ct. As well as six trillion cut stones measuring 5.8mm x 5.8mm x 5mm, (four) 5mm x 5mm x 5mm and the last measuring 4mm x 4mm x 4mm. The trillion cut parcel weighs approximately 3.0ct. Second to last the lot includes 12 round cut gems measuring 6mm x 6mm x 3.60mm, three 5mm x 5mm x 3.22mm, (one) 4.5mm x 4.5mm x 3.21mm and (seven) 4mm x 4mm x 2.40mm weighing approximately 4.5ct. Lastly is a mixed parcel collection of gemstones in emerald, round, oval and cushion cuts weighing approximately 5.00 carats.
