Featured in this lot is this cast iron wood fire range stove top from Malleable Range Co., also known as Monarch Ranges, circa 1930's. The range stove top features a Nile green coloration, six range top openings, a three way loading for wood or coal, and a large two-eye opening on the side. There are two doors for overhead storage and a large oven basin shown on the front. The stove top cover handle is included in this lot. Malleable Iron Range Company was a company that produced kitchen ranges made of malleable iron and other related products. The company existed from 1896 to 1985. Its primary trademark was Monarch and it was often referred to as the Monarch Company. The stove is in good overall condition and shows some touch up painting to the outside frame and some wear to the porcelain from age and use. The temperature gauge has a crack in the glass. Overall, the stove shows its age with slight wear consistent with age. The stove does not feature the water reservoir. The measurements of this Monarch Company stove are 33 1/2" x 22 1/2" x 56 1/4". These ranges are highly collectable; the salesman sample for a similar stove sold for $17,000 from Showtime Auction Services.
