The lot features a beaded sheath from the Blackfeet Indians of Northern Montana dating to the late 20th Century paired with a 19th Century Trade Knife. The trade knife is from circa late 1800's and shows a nice well patina'd blade with two piece wood handle held together with rivet bolts. The sheath shows glass beadwork in a banded geometric pattern done in tanned hide leather wrapped over a rawhide hard sheath. The bottom of the belt sheath has long tanned hide leather fringes which could act as a leg tie and hold four wound glass trade beads in red and yellow. The belt loop top shows fringes / top tie with two more wound red glass beads and some fringes. Sheath measures 12"L with additional 29"L bottom fringe and 4"L top fringe. The knife is 10.75"L with a 6.25"L blade.
