This is an original Montana Territory Knives of Bozeman, Montana knife showing an artful Blackfeet American Indian scrimshaw. The blade has been forged from 1095HC (High Carbon) steel and 15N20 Nickel Carbon, which is then heated and folded into 396 layers, creating the astounding “Damascus” steel. The knife shows a wonderful raindrop Damascus. The hollow grind full tang blade has been paired with a set of nice white wild animal Buffalo bone grips scales with an etched scrimshaw of a Blackfoot warrior; the grips scales are secured to the piece using two mosaic pins and lanyard loop. The tang has been artfully hand vine filled. The grips have also artfully been scrimshaw etched with the bust or mount of a Buffalo going down the grip vertically. The knife is in brand new condition. The blade is stamped with the outline of the state of Montana "MT" and "Bozeman MT" underneath. The knife has been paired with a Great American Bison Buffalo leather, hand crafted tooled sheath and stamped "MT Bozeman MT" with the outline of Montana. The knife measures 7" long with the blade being 3 1/4" long.
