This is an original Montana Territory Knives of Bozeman, Montana knife showing an artful Blackfeet American Indian scrimshaw artwork. The blade has been forged from 1095HC (High Carbon) steel and 15N20 Nickel Carbon, which is then heated and folded into 396 layers, creating the astounding “Damascus” steel. The knife shows a wonderful ladder Damascus. The hollow grind full tang blade has been paired with a set of nice white wild Buffalo bone grips scales, which are secured with two small mosaic pins and a lanyard loop. The grips have also been artfully scrimshaw etched with an image of a Montana Blackfeet chief in an eagle feather headdress. The knife also features a set of polished stainless-steel bolsters with a comfortable finger well. The tang and knife spine have been artfully hand vine filled. The blade is marked with the “MONTANA TERRITORY KNIVES BOZEMAN MONTANA” stamping, which shows the outline of Montana. The knife has been paired with a Great American Bison Buffalo leather, hand crafted sheath. The knife measures 10 1/4" long with the blade being 5 1/2" long.
