For your consideration is a hand drawn historical map of Bridger Canyon, near Bozeman, Montana. Montana Highway 86, also called Bridger Canyon Road, is a route running in a northerly direction from the city of Bozeman to an intersection with U.S. Route 89 just North of the town of Wilsall. This scenic drive covers a distance of approximately 38 miles (61 km) through Bridger Canyon, which has been protected from over development since 1971. This work of art shows 28 historical markers, including Bridger Mountain range peaks and their elevations. In the lower left corner is the popular "M" where the road begins and the map flows up the page, north with Handscrabble Peak in the top left. The right corner shows a compass symbol with "N" and "S" letters. The map also includes a ledger identifying each of the points drawn and numbered on the map. This work of art is well preserved, age and artist is unknown. It shows some small sign of tear at the creases. The map measures 17.5" x 23"
