Featured in this lot is this Montana Crow scrimshaw knife with antler tine handle circa 1940-1950's. The piece shows a heavy, iron forged re-curve style full tang blade set into an antler handle. The handle shows some scrimshaw showing a turtle effigy on one side of the handle and two bird or crow effigys on the bottom of the handle. The light colored antler handle features six copper rivets, three on each side, holding the handle onto the tang of the blade. They exhibit oxidization from their age showing a blue/green color on two of them. Oxidization is present on the blade as well from its age and use over the years. No major signs of damage are noted. The blade measures 4 3/4" L x 1 1/2" W, while the entire knife measures 8 3/4" L x 1 1/2" W x 3/4" D. It weighs under 6 ounces.
