The lot features an excellent original circa 1900-1920's bowie knife with elk antler handle from the Crow Native American Indians of Montana. The piece shows a heavy iron forged bowie knife clip point blade which is paired with a set of heavy large Rocky Mountain Elk antlers having an elk tine finger gaurd. The deeply colored beautiful elk stag antlers are attached to the tang with three iron studs having poured pewter ends. The knife is fitted with a lining of copper around the handle joints. Provenance: From a large Cowboy and American Indian Montana collection in Billings, Montana. The Piece measures 13 1/2" long overall with a 7 1/2" long blade.
