This is a wonderful fully beaded large belt from the Montana Crow Native American Indians. The vintage Mid-20th Century piece shows a Great American Bison Buffalo Indian tanned hide base with canvas top lining being completely covered in glass trade seed beadwork and backed in red trade clothe stroud. Each end still shows the original Indian tanned hide ties. The belt shows a fine traditional geometric pattern with floral accents in chalk white, sky padre blue, corn yellow, orange, semi-transparent red, medium blue, and black. The piece shwos a small green vintage museum collection tag with the numbers "B499" and "DJJJ". The belt shows a very good condition with some slight loss to the beadwork. The belt measures 42" long, and 4 3/8" wide. Appears to fit a size 34 to 40 men's waist (this is an approximation of size and the size is not guaranteed) please see the measurements for a better idea of size. The red clothe is adhered with an adhesive.
