Featured in this lot is this Montana Flathead beaded ceremonial dance outfit. The outfit features a wonderfully and professionally crafted trade cloth and beaded construction with trade seed beads with colors such as sky blue, light purple, pink, orange, chalk white, and dark blue and that features a beaded head band that shows trade seed beads and rhinestones adorning the face of the headband and shows American flag decoration and is tipped with a beautiful horse hair tassels. The outfit features a neck adornment that shows a geometric pattern at its center and larger trade beads decoration shown at the bottom of thee adornment. There are a pair of beaded cuffs with trade ribbon tassels and are beaded with trade seed beads and rhinestones. The outfit features a two part chest piece with a beaded section woven from trade cloth that hang down below the waist line and a breast plate that features tubular pipe bone beads that shows three sections with the center section showing smaller bead decoration. The last item is a pair of beaded mocassins that show trade seed beads and tanned hide construction with rhinestones decorating the tops of the mocassins. The condition of this ceremonial dancer outfit is good with some of the rhinestones missing throughout the piece, and shows some wear to the hide of the mocassins but otherwise is in good overall condition. The measurements of each piece are 23 1/2" x 11" for the breast plate, 49 1/2" x 13" for the chest piece, 3 1/2" x 12" x 5" for the mocassins, 15 1/2" x 8" for the neck piece, 7" x 9" for the cuffs not including the tassels, and 30" x 10 1/2" for the head band.
