The thick, plumage on this bird is characteristic of the Eastern Wild Turkey with tan tips on the tail feathers and white and black bars on the wings. He is sporting a long beard and stunning bright red wattle. The artistry and craftsmanship present on this mount is excellent. The wild turkey is an upland ground bird native to North America. Contrary to its appearance Wild turkeys are considered a very challenging hunt given their high intelligence and furtive behavior.
