Featured in this lot is this hand carved coot decoy from Montana artist Gary Saindon. The decoy shows hand crafted design with a white beak and red eyes. The artist’s signature can be seen on the underside of the decoy. Decoys carved by Gary Saindon are artistic representations of the early craft. Each carving is finished by hand from original patterns, signed, and mounted on driftwood found on the shore of Flathead Lake. The condition of this decoy is good, with no obvious signs of damage; the decoy does show some fading to the paint but is otherwise in good overall condition. The measurements of this decoy are 5 1/2" x 10" x 4 1/2".
