Featured in this lot is a pair of handmade Montana (brown) black bear fur gauntlet gloves. The gauntlet gloves were commonly used for coach driving in the winter. These gloves show bear fur and leather construction with a wool felt interior. The gloves have a leather palm and 5" of 5" fringe at the wrist. The gloves measure 16 1/2" long by 9" wide at the mouth of the gauntlet and 5" across the width of the palm. The gloves appear to be a men's size large and are in very good, unworn looking condition.
