For your consideration in this lot is a collection of early Butte Montana automobile registration and bill of sale paper work for a Pierce Arrow and a Ford Touring Car. First is a "Certificate of Registration of Motor Vehicle" and the receipt for the registration. The certificate is on folded card stock with black textured outside. On the inside are printed the rules and regulations, as well as the cars information. This registration is for a Pierce-Arrow No.67512 1917 Touring car. The Pierce-Arrow was a status symbol, owned by many Hollywood stars and tycoons. Most of the royalty of the world had at least one Pierce-Arrow in its collection. The receipt for the registration shows R.M. Green paid $15.00 cash to register the car in Butte. The next item is a bill of sale from August 27 1923 between J.E. Cady and Fred Whelchel for a Ford Touring Car Engine No. 1719163 for $80.00. These items are in Very good condition for their age of over 100 years
