Featured in this lot is this Montana license plate collection, circa 1959 - 1963. There are three license plates and two registration tins in this collection. The first license plate is the only prison made license plate and is from 1959; it has aluminum construction with grey coloration and black lettering with an embossed "Prison Made" lettering at the bottom. The last two license plates are from 1963, with one showing very little wear and the other showing a good amount of wear due to exposure; these are not prison made. The registrations tags are yellow painted aluminum with blue and black lettering and are from 1960 and 1966. The condition of these license plates and registration tags is good, with wear consistent with their age. The measurements of this collection of license plates are 6" x 12" x 1/4 and for the registration tins 1 1/4" x 2" x 5/8".
