This lot contains four silver western style belt buckles. The first is made by Comstock Silversmiths with German silver and bears stamps on the back. The buckle is a 4.75" oval with the classical twisted rope boarder in copper. The center of the buckle has a black background with silver leaf work on both sides. There is a double scroll on the top and a single banner on the bottom. The buckle features a cowboy and a horse leading a loaded pack horse. The second buckle is from Rockmount of Denver, Colorado and is stamped Nickel Silver. This buckle is 5" wide by 2.75" tall. This buckle is the style of the 1940s; it is engraved, has jeweler's bronze rosettes at each corner, and has a Long Horn Steer Head in the center. The buckle also features etching to accent the bronze features. The third buckle is by Tony Sana; it has German silver and bears trademark stamps. The buckle is a 5" oval with the twisted rope boarder; it has intricate etching of scroll work and flowers on the face. The buckle features a brass cowboy on his horse, doing cutting work with a calf. There is a top banner on the buckle that is engraved "Al & Jo Ann Kline"; the banner on the bottom reads “We Sting Like Butterflies". The fourth buckle is from the world-famous Montana Silversmith. This buckle is a 3.75” oval with a coin in the center. On the back of this buckle is the Montana Silversmith, Columbus, Montana trademark and lot#L80564L11. Montana Silversmiths was founded in 1973. Montana Silversmiths makes a variety of silver products, but Western-themed jewelry is their biggest seller. The company also produces trophy belt buckles, which are awarded annually to the winners of the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) and numerous smaller rodeos. Each buckle is hand-engraved and takes a silversmith 30 to 40 hours to complete. This buckle is in the classic Montana Silversmith style, with extremely detailed engraving and the mirror-like shine this company is known for. In the center of the buckle is a gold toned coin of PRCA Associate Member 2001 Advocate with a cowboy and bucking saddle bronc in the center.
