Featured in this lot is this Montana traditional wooden toboggan circa 1920's. This is a good well crafted toboggan that can seat four or five and shows the outside plank of the toboggan and a nylon steering line.
Toboggans are simple sleds which are usually made of parallel wood slats. These J-shaped sleds do not have runners, but can seat at least four people. Toboggans were the common mode of transportation by the Cree and Innu people of northern Canada.
The condition of this toboggan is fair with some fo the connecting screws missing and one of the planks loose because of it. The measurements of this toboggan are 82" x 17 5/8" x 10".
