Featured in this lot is this Montana Waterfowk gold stamp artwork by Thornbrugh. Joseph Thornbrugh is an American wildlife and landscape artist, born in 1948, known for his work in Montana. His art has been sold at auction, with record prices varying for different works. He has also been recognized for his contributions to art events, such as the 1986 Montana Waterfowl Stamp print. This collection includes three framed displays of the Montana Waterfowl Stamps and their lithograph artwork. The first is of Canadian Geese flying above a glacier and is a medallion edition numbered 21/1025 with Thornbrugh signature and the gold stamp is marked as follows: 1986 Montana Waterfowl Stamps (with his signature). The next display is of a Yellow Labrador Retriever with a Mallard duck in its mouth in the reeds as is marked "EX 64/300" with Thornbrugh's signature; and the gold stamp is marked as follows: 1997 - Montana. The last is artwork of waterfowl flying close to the reeds and is marked "MD (Montana Duck) 41/1025" with Thornbrugh's signature; and the gold stamp is marked as follows: 1990 Montana Waterfowl Stamp - Joe Thornbrugh. The condition of this collection of Gold stamp displays is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage to the artwork or stamps with one of the frames showing a chip out of the wooden frame. The measurements of these displays is 16 1/2" x 16 3/8" and the visible artwork measures 7 1/4" x 9 3/4", the next measures 15 3/4" x 19 1/4" and the visible artwork measures 7 1/8" x 9 1/2", and the last measures 16 3/8" x 16 1/2" and the visible artwork measures 7 1/4" x 9 3/4".
