The derringer features a traditional design with a engraved handle projecting the original beauty of this piece when it was bin its prime. The Derringer was created for its concealed nature and easily stored in a purse, or pocket, or boot and was favored by gamblers, and prostitutes for self defense. This derringer comes complete with an original museum tag that reads as follows: 1860 - 1865 Moore' Patent Firearms Co. .41 Spur Trigger Derringer Found in Tombstone and comes complete with paperwork of identification describing it as "Genuine Tombstone Relic" and a note of authenticity that reads as follows: I Found this relic Moore's Patent Firearms Co. Derringer, a .41 spur trigger manufactured between 1860 and 1865, on my property on 107 N. 9th Street. It was in March of 2009 when I found it, by tripping over the barrel which was sticking out of the ground. -Sean Eberly. The condition of this excavated derringer is heavy oxidation and missing components to this excavated piece with erosion to the barrel from time. The measurements of this Derringer is 2" x 5" x 3/4".
