Featured in this lot is this Morrow Mountain Type II point and is dated from Middle Archaic and circa 6,800 - 6,000 B.P. The point features a medium triangular point with a contracting stem with a elliptical cross section. The blade is excurvate and shows a long blade with a semi serrated edge and shows shoulders that are brought out to a point and shows a stem that is elongated and contracting to a pointed base. This point was taken in near Charleston, West Virginia and is knapped form Kanawha flint. The condition of this point is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this point are 4 1/8" x 2 1/4" x 3/8"
