This lot features a collection of five historical books on famous Western frontiersmen. This set of "mountain men" books include historical works on Billy the Kid, Roy Bean, and Father Peter John De Smet. They include the following: "Roy Bean: Law West of the Pecos" by C.L. Sonnichsen (1943), "Father Peter John De Smet: Jesuit in the West" by Robert C. Carriker, "A Life Wild and Perilous: Mountain Men and the Paths to the Pacific" by Robert M. Utley (1997), "Billy the Kid: A Short and Violent Life" by Robert M. Utley (1989), and "The Lives of Mountain Men" by Bill Harris (2005). These books are in good condition, with a a tear on the cover of the Sonnichsen book.
