For your consideration in this lot we have a telephone booth from the Murray Hotel in Livingston, MT. The booth features an Automatic Electric, steel cased, black rotary phone, original wood siding doors, and a period interior fan. The Murray Hotel was originally known as the Elite Hotel at its grand opening in 1904. Since its grand opening the hotel has been host to guests such as Buffalo Bill, Calamity Jane, Walter Hill, and the Queen of Denmark. The Hotel was renamed "The Murray Hotel" in the mid 1920's after the death of James A. Murray. The phone booth is made with a wood exterior with a galvanized steel skeleton and metal accents. The interior of the booth shows a old rotary phone with period yellow page ads, a damage fine sticker, and a old newspaper clipping to the right of the phone. The booth is in good condition overall showing some wear and cracks on the wood paneling indicative of the booths age. The phone booth measures 31" wide by 30 1/2" deep by 83" tall.
