In this lot is a museum collection of ancient moonstone trade beads. These beads were found in California Native American burial sites by E.A. Doolittle and owned by the Nautilus Museum. These beads are in a riker display box with the original museum tags. Additional beads have been added to this display box. There are twenty nine beads in total; they range in size from 1/2" X 1/2" to 1/4" X 1/4". Moonstones beads are beautiful and mysterious with their deep blue flame that looks like trapped moonlight. They have been long valued for their beauty and power. These beads show wear and minor damage from their ancient age.
