Featured in this lot is this Scarce First Edition of, "My Life And Experiences Among Our Hostile Indians" by Major General Oliver Otis Howard, 1907, A. D. Worthington & Company Hartford, Conn. publishers. a memoir written by Oliver O. Howard, a Union Army general who fought in the Civil War and later became a prominent figure in the Indian Wars of the late 19th century. The book is a detailed account of Howard's personal experiences and observations while living among Native American tribes in the Great West. Howard's memoir covers a wide range of topics, including his interactions with various tribes, his experiences as a military commander, and his thoughts on government policy towards Native Americans. He recounts his encounters with famous figures such as Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse, as well as lesser-known tribal leaders and warriors.
