Featured in this lot is this limited edition print titled, "Western Skies" issued in 2002, originally painted by Nancy Glazier. Nancy Glazier, recognized as one of North America's premier wildlife artists. is passionate about her art and the subject of her art. This passion is evident in the way she paints and the way she lives – they are inseparable. Surrounded by mountain beauty and the animals the artist loves to paint, Glazier says, “I feel a kinship with the animal that grows as the painting progresses. Glazier was mentored and taught by renown collector, artist, and Cody Museum muralist, Adolph Spohr. The artist enjoys much success as one of today’s most talented wildlife painters. Her original works are represented by one of America’s leading galleries. Her paintings have been featured at prestigious shows throughout the country, and two of her works hang in the Museum of Church History and Art in Salt Lake City. This limited edition print is numbered 995 out of 1,200 and is signed by the artist in the bottom right hand corner reading, "N. Glazier". The print shows three bison / buffalo standing in a grassy valley as rain clouds form overhead in the background. The sun is lighting up the background beautifully accenting the rolling mountains. The piece is set in a beautiful wood frame with gold gilt painted geometric designs surrounding the edges. It has been matted once with large, brown decorative matting paper and sits behind glass to preserve its condition. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity attached to the back of the frame confirming the above information. The visible print measures 15 3/8" L x 31 3/4" W, while the entire piece measures 30" L x 46 1/4" W x 1 3/8" D. It has a total weight of 16 pounds and 12 ounces.
