Featured in this lot is this National Cash Register Co. 317 series brass cash register out of Dayton, Ohio circa 1913. The pattern to the decoration of the register is considered a "Dolphin Pattern," as can be seen on the arch at the top of the register and shows consistent decoration to the side paneling and to the top flap of the register and along the the register drawer. The serial number displayed on the top of the register is Serial No. 1011151 and shows the model number underneath Model No. 317. The register is marked above the lock '1' and on the register drawer 'National'; at the bottom of the register tacked into the wood base is marked 'The National Cash Register Co. Dayton, Ohio. The register comes complete with a key for the register lock. The condition of this cash register is previously the keys worked but are stuck in the "No Sale" position, there is a crack in the marble plate under the keys but otherwise the register shows a great sheen to the brass and shows very little wear to the lettering of the pattern adorning the register. The measurements of this register is 20 3/4" x 16 1/8" x 10 1/4".
