Included in this lot is a bottle shaped tobacco cutter from National Tobacco Works. This is a good piece of tobacco cutting history. The cutter is in the shape of a bottle of champagne and is marked "Piper Heidsieck Tobacco" and on the lever "Champagne Flavor" on one side and "Louisville, KY" on the other. Piper Heidsieck is a company that makes champagne and made champagne flavored tobacco in the early 1900s, hence the shape of the tobacco cutter. National Tobacco Works was a large manufacturer of chewing tobacco in the early 1900s and was located in Louisville, Kentucky. This piece is in good condition with some rust and patina with it's age. The measurements of this tobacco cutter is 8" x 15" x 6 1/2".
