Offered in this lot is a pair of native Inuit made, leather gauntlet gloves with beadwork and fur trim. The gloves are made of a white dyed leather, with wool and felt lining and fur trim at the cuff. The gloves have 3 1/2" fringe decorations at the wrist and along the side. Around the wrist is bead work done in a red and blue pattern of glass trade beads, on the back of the gloves on the gauntlet is a bead decoration of leaves, vines and flowers. The gloves are estimated to be a ladies medium. The gloves measure from tip of finger to end of gauntlet 15", the palm of the glove is 4 1/2" across. These gloves are in very good condition with the fur and leather showing no wear or use.
