Featured in this lot is this native Maori hand carved Mother of Pearl inlay bowl circa 1950's. The bowl features a wonderfully and professionally crafted hand carved wood and mother of pearl construction that shows very thick and heavy wooden construction that shows triangular inlay with bands of inlay mother of pearl and was sanded and polished. The bottom of the bowl shows a textured grip and is marked as follows: Tapuika. The condition of this Maori carved bowl is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this Maori bowl is 3 1/8" x 18 5/8" x 10 1/4". The collective weight of this bowl is 4lb 12oz.
