Featured in this lot is this 1843 issue of Natural History of New York or the New York Fauna. The book features in depth information and detailed description of all the animals hitherto observed within the state of New York; with brief notices of those occasionally found near its borders: and accompanied by appropriate illustrations. This book is by James E. De Kay and is the Part V. - Mollusca in its pages and also includes Part VI Crustacea bound in the back. The condition of this of this book shows wear to the outside wrapping of the leather bound book with a heavy cloth spine and shows browning to the pages from age and use.
