This is a fantastic circa 1980-1990's Navajo Charlton Draper sterling silver belt buckle set with rare Number 8 Spiderweb Turquoise. The buckle features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver and No. 8 turquoise construction the turquoise shows beautiful heavy matrix to the stones with good luster and light blue coloration. The buckle is marked on the back as follows: CD - Sterling - and hand written Charlton Draper. Also referred to as No. 8 / #8 / Number 8 / Number Eight Turquoise. Charleston Draper is a Navajo master silversmith with a signature style. He is known for his use of excellent turquoise from the best American mines. For this bracelet, he has selected a fabulous piece of Blue Gem Turquoise from the historic Battle Mountain region of Nevada. The condition of this Navajo buckle is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this buckle is 2" x 2 1/2" x 7/8". The collective weight of this buckle is 59.7g.
