Featured in this lot is a Navajo Crystal Eye Dazzler Trading Post rug circa 1970s. The rug features a wonderfully and professionally crafted tightly woven wool construction. The rug features a traditional Crystal Eye Dazzler design that shows coloration of red, black, off white, light grey and dark grey. The border of the rug features a medium size black border with zagging white segments. The regional pattern crystal starts in the mid 1930s. The pattern is borderless with horizontal bands of geometric designs. The bands are separated by “wavy lines”. This is created by alternating and crossing the color of each weft. The colors are of natural wool with vegetal dyed colors. The contemporary crystals are drastically different from the old J.B. MOORE crystals which made the area famous in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The condition of this rug is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this rug are 37" x 25". The thread count is 264 threads per square inch.*
