For your consideration is an Original Sterling Silver Eagle Dancer Kachina Bolo Tie with Bisbee Turquoise from Navajo Diné artist, Alvin Joe. This impressive bolo tie features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver and Bisbee turquoise construction that shows a tooled and decorated design with feathers, silver beads, braided silver rope, stamped long silver tips with concho ball ends. Alvin Joe is a renowned, award-winning Navajo master silversmith known for traditional, handmade jewelry featuring high-quality turquoise, coral, and other stones. Native American Kachina jewelry celebrates the spiritual significance and cultural heritage of Kachina dolls. Originally from the Hopi traditions and religion, Navajo kachinas are a beautiful adaptation of a spiritual concept, transformed into a vibrant art form by Navajo artisans, distinct from their Hopi origins but equally cherished by collectors. An Eagle Dancer Kachina is a significant Hopi and Pueblo spirit figure, representing strength, the ruler of the sky, and a messenger to the heavens. The dancer's arms are outstretched and attached to the feathers which rise up in two layers behind. An oval shaped serrated bevel mounted Bisbee turquoise cabochon is above the dancer's feet. The artist's hallmark is stamped on the reverse, "AJ Sterling". A truly amazing piece, the bolo is in very nice condition, rich patina noted throughout. Kachina measures 2.25"W x 2.75"L, the bolo overall measures 19.75"L from the back of the strand to the tips. Combined weight is 48.3 gms.
