For your consideration is a Fred Harvey era Navajo Native American turquoise and sterling silver bracelets from the 1940's. Fred Harvey jewelry was made for the Anglo tourist along the Santa Fe railroad lines, in hotels and retail shops run primarily by the Fred Harvey Company. Harvey hired Navajo silversmith to create decorative symbolized jewelry for the tourist trade. Fred Harvey era jewelry is widely collected and sought after. It is easy to wear, and generally with a fair amount of ornamentation and stamping. These two bracelets feature set turquoise gemstones along a stamped silver band. This style of bracelet became popular after Harvey's passing in 1901. The larger of the two bracelets has an interior dimension of approximately 7".
