Featured in this lot is this Navajo Gallup throw Trading Post wool rug, circa 1930's. On one end of the rug shows the typical two end fringe with no center fringe, shown only on authentic Navajo rugs. On the other side is the added cotton warp fringe, only found on Gallup, New Mexico Navajo throw examples. The rug shows a yellow and light brown checkered design, which is extremely rare to Navajo rugs; it also shows an added and sewn in fringe on one side of the rug. The condition of this Trading Post wool rug is good for its age, with wear to the corners and slight wear to the side edges of the rug. The measurements of this Gallup Trading Post rug are 29" x 34".
