Featured in this lot is this Navajo Gallup Trading Post checkered rug circa 1970's. The rug features a wonderfully and professionally crafted wool construction. The rug shows a off white field that shows a checkered design with slight stepped decoration with heathered black and red coloration. The rug shows the iconic Gallup fringe on one side of the rug and shows tassels on all four corners of the rug. The condition of this hand woven rug is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this rug are 39 1/4" x 19". The thread count is 64 threads per square inch.
