Featured in this lot is this Navajo Ganado crystal eye dazzler wool rug, circa early 1900's. This rug shows wonderfully crafted and professionally wove construction with eye dazzler design in the shape of 'X' and medallions of eye dazzler constructed design; the coloration shows faded red and black dazzler construction with a white field that bled to off pink. The Ganado style Navajo rug generally consists of one stepped diamond shaped center medallion or two connected stepped diamonds. The stepped and embellished triangles in each corner make up a quincunx pattern, all surrounded by a geometric border. The colors consist of red, grey, ivory, black, and sometimes brown. The condition of this rug is fair; it shows its age with fading to the field of the rug and a repair to the edge of the rug. The measurements of this rug are 39" x 17 1/4".
