Featured in this lot is this Navajo Ganado or Hubbell Trading Post sampler rug c. 1890's. The rug shows wonderfully and professionally hand woven design with a cream field with brown, light brown, and salmon pink stepped corners with tassel shown on the corners of the rug. The condition of this rug is good however it shows a wear mark to one of the corners and is missing the tassel otherwise is in good overall condition. The measurements of this sampler rug are 25" x 22". Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery. Identification#: E1116.
