This is an original sterling silver squash blossom necklace by Navajo silversmith Gerald Mitchell. The is signed "GM" and "Sterling" and exhibits a sterling silver construction with classic old pawn styling with nice patina finish. The naja squash sbows a double bar pattern with concho ends and concho top set with a polished cabochon of Turquoise from the Morenci Turquoise Mine in an oval shape. The necklace is strung on a sterling silver chain link strand with double row of sterling silver concho / concha Navajo pearls and twenty two (22) fluted blossoms also in sterling silver. The piece is well kept showing the nice patina finish and no apparent damages. Necklace measures overall 28.5"L clasp to clasp with the naja pendant being 2.25" by 2.25". Total weight of 71 grams.
