This is an original sterling silver squash blossom necklace by Navajo silversmith Gerald Mitchell. The necklace is signed "GM" and "Sterling" and exhibits a sterling silver construction with classic old pawn styling with nice patina finish. The naja squash bows a double bar pattern with concho ends and concho top set with a polished cabochon of Turquoise from the Morenci Turquoise Mine in an oval shape. The necklace is strung on a sterling silver chain link strand with double row of sterling silver concho/concha Navajo pearls and twenty two (22) fluted blossoms also in sterling silver. The piece is well kept showing a nice patina finish and no apparent damages. Necklace measures overall 28.5"L clasp to clasp with the naja pendant being 2.25" by 2.25". Total weight of 71 grams.*
