Featured in this lot is this Navajo Germantown Ganado Trading Post rug circa 1910. The rug shows a wonderfully and professionally crafted Ganado Trading Post rug with Germantown stepped stars adorning the border of the rug. The rug shows a off white field with a black border and Germantown stars with colors such as light green, red, salmon pink, yellow, and blue. There are tassels on all four corners of the rug with a teal coloration. and a wrapped rim of colored yarn. This rug has a very soft feel to it with a tight weave and solid coloration. The condition of this rug is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this rug 54" x 31 1/2". Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery. Identification#: E1106.
