The cuff bracelet eatures a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver and inlaid chipped turquoise and red branch coral construction that shows arrow and mountain imagery as well as tooled design motifs for the moon, rattlesnake jaw, Navajo chip inlay, using small turquoise pieces set in epoxy, emerged in the 1970s, credited to Tommy Singer and the Singer family, evolving from traditional Navajo silversmithing that began in the 1880s with Spanish influence, but it was the Zuni tribe known for intricate inlay; Navajo jewelry started incorporating turquoise around the early 1900s, with chip inlay becoming a distinct style later for accessible, decorative work, often using leftover stone. In essence, chip inlay was a later, innovative Navajo adaptation using modern epoxy, building on centuries of turquoise use and integrating with their established silversmithing traditions for a unique, accessible art form.
