Included in this lot is a Navajo Native American Lone Mountain turquoise chip inlay necklace. The chip in lay technique became popular due to Tommy Singer, a renowned Navajo silversmith. The pendant on this piece showcases a lovely Lone Mountain turquoise polished cabochon as well as chip inlaid branch coral, and turquoise. The pendant is in the shape of a Thunderbird and features incredible detail in the wings and body. The back of the Thunderbird is stamped with the artists hallmark and “Sterling”. The Thunderbird chip inlay design has grown in popularity since the mid 1900’s. Musicians like Johnny Cash have worn this style. The necklace measures 19 ¼” and the pendant measures 3” x 3”.
